Topic Gather Mats was founded in Asheville, North Carolina, born from a deep appreciation for tactile, natural materials. We noticed a gap in the market for floor coverings that were truly sustainable, exceptionally durable, and unyieldingly beautiful.

Our signature hair-on-hide mats are sourced exclusively from ethical tanneries in South America, where they are a natural byproduct. By reclaiming these materials, we ensure nothing goes to waste, turning them into generational pieces for your home.

The Woven Process

Beyond our hide collections, our woven heritage mats are created using traditional wooden looms. We partner with master weavers who utilize organic jute, wool, and recycled cotton.

Each knot and weave carries the fingerprint of the artisan. No two mats are exactly alike, ensuring that your space retains a unique, bespoke character.
